Comment me convertir à l’Islam ? [Français]
Islam

Tawassul
Common Misconceptions about Islam

In this day and age when Muslims are being attacked by people of almost all faiths, it is quite sad and disturbing that Muslims are busy attacking each other. Why is it that we, who belong to the Ummah of Muhammad (saw), have fallen so low that we take not a second before declaring each other of being from those who practice shirk or kufr?

Our internal issues should be our internal issues and differences amongst the Ummah should be dealt with in a civilized manner. It is no wonder why we, the Muslim nation, cannot today stand on our feet and hold firm our ground and voice for our rights in the international community.

(Saheeh Al-Bukhari, #1739, and Mosnad Ahmad, #2037)

ISLAM X TERRORISMO [PortuguĂȘs]
Islam

They Spoke of him thus (Part II)
The Last Prophet

George Bernard Shaw said:
I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to possess that assimilating capability to the changing phases of existence which make itself appeal to every age - I have prophesized about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today. Medieval ecclesiastics, either through ignorance or bigotry, painted Muhammadanism in the darkest colours. They were, in fact, trained to hate both the man Muhammad and his religion. To them, Muhammad was an anti-Christ. I have studied him, the wonderful man, and in my opinion, far from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of humanity.

They spoke of him thus (Part I)
The Last Prophet

Thomas Carlyle, the Scottish historian said:
"They call him a prophet, you say? Why, he stood there face to face with them, here, not enshrined in any mystery, visibly clouting his own cloak, cobbling his own shoes, fighting, counseling, ordering in the midst of them. They must have seen what kind of a man he was, let him be called what ye like. No emperor with his tiaras was obeyed as this man in a cloak of his own clouting. During three and twenty years of rough, actual trial, I find something of a veritable hero necessary for that of itself. "

The Prophet(pbuh)
The Last Prophet

The Prophet(pbuh) was of a slightly above-average height. He was fair in complexion with a rosy tinge. His hair was black and wavy but stopped short of curling and was between his ear lobes and shoulders. Sometimes he would part his hair at the middle while at other times he would keep it braided. His face was radiant "as if the sun were following its course across and shining from his face" said one companion.

Nullifiers of Islam
Monotheism

These are some dangerous beliefs, sayings and actions that take one out of the fold of Islam.

1) Shirk (Associating partners with Allah, polytheism, idolatory) Allah (swt) said: "...Allah does not forgive that partners should be set up with him in worship; but He forgives anything else to whom He pleases..." [4:48]

My journey to Islam
Converts to Islam

Born in a Hindu family and educated in a Christian school, I grew up with conflicted concepts of the Almighty. It seemed irrational to me that the God that created humanity, should be human himself. I have always believed that humans are imperfect, no human, however impeccable in character and judgment, was good enough to be God. So, I grew up with no religion at all.

A Hindu's Journey to Islam
Converts to Islam

I had no religion or should I say I never believed in one. Though born in a Hindu family I had to gratify the god whom I was told is God, but never with my true heart. For my family, which is basically Arya Samaji. Religion, rituals and worship depended upon their own convenience, unlike many Hindu families in India my home never had any proper temple or idols, which were worshipped daily. I had always been adrift from the mainstream Hindu practices and rituals.

Whose Fitna is it anyway?
Common Misconceptions about Islam

Now that the commotion over Fitna has subsided let us critically examine this video made by the latest wannabe McCarthyist on the block, Geert Wilders.

The 15 minute video opens with a cartoon lampooning Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) slyly implying that he is a terrorist and that Islam fosters terror. To back up this accusation, he selects certain verses from the Qur'an which speak about fighting and juxtaposes them with archive footage of terrorist acts.

Youth of Islam: Urwah ibn az Zubair
Youth Of Islam

This is the first of the articles in the 'Youth of Islam' series. We InshaAllah hope to add more articles on the great sons and daughters of Islam that history has produced. It is sad to know that the youth of today would know more about the life of a 'celebrity' than they would about these illustrious youth, the likes of which are desperately needed in the world today. We sincerely hope to break the stereotype in the minds of the people that pious individuals dont necessarily equate to old men with big beards and who have nothing else to do. Allaah says : “O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At‑Taqwa [i.e. he is one of the Muttaqoon (the pious)]. Verily, Allaah is All‑Knowing, All‑Aware” The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 49, Verse 13

It was reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “There are seven whom Allaah will shade with His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His: the just ruler; a young man who grows up worshipping his Lord; a man whose heart is attached to the mosque; two men who love one another for the sake of Allaah and meet and part on that basis; a man who is called by a woman of rank and beauty and says ‘I fear Allaah’; a man who gives in charity and conceals it to such an extent that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives; and a man who remembers Allaah when he is alone, and his eyes fill up.” (Agreed upon, narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 620; Muslim, no. 1712; and others).

Wearing Rings or Threads to ward off evil?
Monotheism

" Say: "Tell me then, the things that you invoke besides Allah - if Allah intended some harm to me, could they remove His harm, or if He intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His Mercy?" Say: "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust [the true Believers] must put their trust."" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 39, Verse 38

In this verse, Allah , Most Glorified, Most High commands His Prophet, Muhammad (pbuh) to reject those powerless, graven images worshipped by the polytheists, which can neither remove any harm which might befall a person by Allah's Decree, nor prevent any sustenance or blessings which might come to a person from Him. Then He commands him to place his trust in Allah , for He is Sufficient to bring benefit or prevent harm for all who sincerely depend upon Him.

The Bible Denies the Divinity of Jesus
Comparative Religion

Bible's Writer

Christians and Muslims both believe in Jesus, love him, and honor him. They are, however, divided over the question of his divinity.

Fortunately, this difference can be resolved if we refer the question to both the Bible and the Qur'an, because, both the Bible and the Qur'an teach that Jesus is not God.

A Mercy to Mankind
The Last Prophet

"And We have not sent you except as a mercy to mankind" (Surah Al-Anbiyah 21:107)1

The year is 570 CE, five years after the death of the Roman Emperor Justinian. An army of men, horses and elephants ruthlessly march towards the city of Makkah, intending to wipe it out of existence. This is the army of the Abysinnian warlord Abraha, who after conquering Yemen is now advancing towards the sacred city of Makkah. One of the notables of Makkah, Abdul-Muttalib, has ordered all the women and children to go up into the mountains and take refuge there whilst the men go and fight. However, the men of Makkah are of no match to the deadly Abysinnian lancers who soon crush their resistance on the borders of the city.

Scientific Proof for God
Contemplation

The more we advance on the road to science in all directions, micro and macro, the arguments in favor of an intelligent creator become more and more eloquent. In the face of such facts the least one can do is acknowledge the Creator. Deliberate attempts not to is evidently dishonesty. With this thought in mind, I invite you all to examine the contents of this page.

This paper DOES NOT present in any way the Christian Creationists position on humankind's origin.

Verse of the Day

There should be no compulsion in matters of religion. The right path is now clearly distinct from the wrong path. Those who renounce the worship of idols, and put their faith in God, grasp a firm handle which will never break. God hears all and knows all.
