They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks;-

They wish that you should disbelieve, as they have disbelieved, and thus you become all alike. So, do not take friends from among them unless they migrate in the way of Allah. Then, if they turn away, seize them, and kill them wherever you find them, and do not take from among them a friend or helper.

They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). Anseiam (os hipócritas) que renegueis, como renegaram eles, para que sejais todos iguais. Não tomeis a nenhum deles por confidente, até que tenham migrado pela causa de Deus. Porém, se se rebelarem, capturai-os então, matai-os, onde quer que os acheis, e não tomeis a nenhum deles por confidente nem por socorredor.

Sie wünschen, daß ihr ungläubig werdet, wie sie ungläubig sind, so daß ihr alle gleich werdet. Nehmt euch daher keine Beschützer von ihnen, solange sie nicht auf Allahs Weg wandern. Und wenn sie sich abwenden, dann ergreift sie und tötet sie, wo immer ihr sie auffindet; und nehmt euch keinen von ihnen zum Beschützer oder zum Helfer
